The Medical Lab Technician (MLT) program prepares students for employment as full-fledged lab technician work in all areas of a medical laboratory comprising of, medical bio-chemistry, immunology hematology, histopathology, blood banking and medical microbiology. A technician job is to conduct all medical laboratory tests related to various communicable and non-communicable diseases with accuracy and is also involved in reporting laboratory results which help the physician in providing treatment. More than 85% of the treatment given to patients is influenced by the reports provided by the laboratory technician.

1. To obtain theoretical and practical knowledge about principles, processes, analysis and formulations of chemicals used medical laboratory testing performed for diagnosis of diseases, so that he/she is able to perform laboratory investigations in any diagnostic pathologic laboratory.

2. To keep oneself updated of all newer technologies in the field of clinical laboratory diagnostics.

  • Eligibility:- XIIth Pass (50%)
  • Duration:- 3 Years

  •  Additionally, technicians count cells, prepare specimens for examination, and scan blood and bodily fluids for abnormal cells.
  •  Technicians now perform more analytical work as a result of rising automation and the use of technology.
  •  The concentration of substances like blood glucose and cholesterol, as well as the levels of enzymes and hormones, are all determined by clinical laboratory technician.
